3 Reasons Digg.com Hates Your Site

Posted on 26. Mar, 2007 by in Online Marketing

So you have had a few of your sites articles submitted to Digg.com but haven’t made the front page yet. Well listen carefully and I will tell you the three main reasons you are not getting any Digg love.

1 – Your Titles are rubbish! - You are reading this article because the title encouraged you to do so. I could easily have called this article “my 3 tips for doing better online with articles”, but would you have bothered clicking it with that title?
If Digg doesn’t like your site then look at your titles and try and make them more interesting and sensational.

2 – Lists are super smashing and great - One day I expect to see a story on Digg.com called “10 lists of lists of lists”. People on Digg love lists, so from time to time you should condense your points into 10 or if possible 101 bullet points, and you too could get some of that lovely link love.

3 – Get other people to submit for you - In general you should not Digg your own content. Sending e-mails to friends, family and work collegues is not spamming, it is simply using your contacts wisely ;-)

Enjoy.
